Default 'nother 14" wheel available?

No not a 14x7, but a lightweight 14x6 racing wheel for you ITB/ITC types. In the newest GRM, they say Kosei is going to produce a 14x6 K1 TS later this year.

For those not familiar - the new K1-TS is a reasonably priced wheel that is only 10.6lbs in the 15x7 size (according to Tirerack) I can't weight to see what the 14x6 weighs in at.

14X6 and 14X7 wheels in 5X114.3 pattern 45 offset would be nice for me, but I don't think that would do much for the Honda owners on this forum.

There's a zillion really cheap 14x6 wheels that be used as rains. This puppy is going to be very light, and not too cheap.

Which leads to this question:

Say you run 205/55VR14 DOT R-compounds. Whould you be better off with 8 lb 14x6 wheels or 15 lb 14x7 wheels?

I think it would be stupid for Kosei to release a 14x6 instead of a 14x7. As mentioned earlier, 14x6s are everywhere...

For 205's the nearly 88% weight penalty for the 14x7's doesn't seem like it'd be worth it.

Have you guys seen this wheel? I'm not sure of the weight, but the eBay auction states that it's a 14x6.

I'm pretty sure that's an OE accessory wheel available through Honda dealers. I asked about them when I saw them at the Burlington store when I was getting the CRV timing belt replaced, thinking that they MIGHT be 7" wide. They weren't...

Do you think you could've posted that pic a little bigger? It's kind of hard to make it out.

Sorry, I linked it straight from the auction. Didn't want to save it, resize, upload.

You're forgiven. Yeah, I agree - that's kind of a pain.
