If you want to have a meet this weekend, why not do it at the California Speedway in Fontana. 10 fwy, exit Cherry Ave, North on Cherry about 1-2 miles, Track Entrance on the Left. Admissions to watch is usually free in Fontana. If not, at most $5 or $10 for the weekend.

TCRA (Touring Car Racing Association) will be having an Event there on Sat & Sun, Oct 20-21. There will be Races on Saturday afternoon & Sunday all day, including NASA's USTCC event. A lot of other Imports, as well as ITR's.

We won't be able to make this event since we have a race in Laguna Seca, but it would be an ideal place to have a meet and watch some Imports race around the new Infield Section. Track opens at 7:30 am - 5:00 pm.

You can also see first hand how fun & safe track driving really is in one of TCRA's events, so maybe you can sign up for the next TCRA Driver School at Willow Springs on Dec 1-2.

Hope you guys have fun.

California Speedway, like Laguna Seca, costs a lot more to rent than Buttonwillow or Willow Springs, so Event fees are higher, but you save the costs of a Hotel room since it's within an hour of most of Southern California. Other TCRA events are cheaper.

Driver School costs $310 for 2 Days of Track time, including the Time Trial on Sunday afternoon. You get six 30-minute sessions and 4 laps (2 timed) of Time Trial. Plus Classroom instruction & sometimes Skid Pad practice when available. Instructor ride along during sessions until you are comfortable on your own.

Time Trial costs $235 for the same 6 sessions & Time Trial laps. You need to go through the TCRA Driver School if you haven't driven before with TCRA, unless you have a Competition license from SCCA or NASA. They are very strict on this requirement, so everyone understands the rules and is a safe driver on the track. Unsafe & reckless drivers are kicked out of the Club and no refunds are given. This is why TCRA is one of the safest clubs around doing these Track events.

There may still have spots open for this weekend if you want to drive. Give them a call and find out before you send in your entry forms. Spectators are always welcome and they allow everyone to do "parade laps" for free during the Lunch break at a 50 mph speed limit.

Yeah, why not make the meet this weekend @ the Cali Speedway? There will be a few Type Rs competing in the race, you can check them out while you're there chatting and sharing the "jdm" knowledge

Entrance to watch is free.

I, myself is looking forward to the parade laps.
