Need advise from someone who has done the y8 intake manifold swap onto a y7!
I'm getting ready to get this swap done on my sedan with a d16y7 and the only part i dont have are the fuel lines and the connectors. What size fuel lines did you get and where did you get them. Also did you need to go under the car at all?
As a matter of fact i just did it to my y7 this weekend,
. It was easy just turning bolts, and a little extending of some of the sensors. Now youre going to want to use the y7 TB and plug up the other y8 TB's IACV mounts and holes with either a plate or something. And as far as the hoses, i went to a Plumbers Warehouse department, Home Depot sux, along with the other one( didn't have the right diameter and too expensive).
I had to go under the car to remove the mounting braket for the y7 manifold, and to bolt up the y8's IM middle bolt( that is bar far the worst bolt you'll deal with in this swap over. All in all, it was farely easy. and more questions?
OH, and one thing my new intake system from autozone(POS
) is rubbing against the Fuel line to the fuel rail, anyone with suggestions?
