tach needle jumping when going over 4000 RPM??????
sup guys, I have a 91 CRX Si, and when I start stepping on it, the tach needle just jumps all over the place it's really annoying anybody had this problem before?

Yup, most likely this. Before buying one (like $80-90) pop off your cap and check all the connections there, theres 4 wires held on by spade clips. Just make sure theyre snug.

I had the same problem, after replacing the ignitor and cap the tach was still bouncing. So i finally got around to changing the rotor and it solved the problem.
I would suggest changing the cap and rotor first, it's only like 20 bucks for both. If that doesn't work try a new ignitor.
