Default Reman'd brakes

Need opinions on remanufactured brake parts.

I run a CSP 88 CRX Si.

Doing the brakes on a 200,000 mile car. Honda wants nearly triple the prices of Autozone for calipers, brake bootser and master cylinder.

The Honda calipers are rebuilt. They require cores. Booster and master cylinder are new.

Question is: What do you guys think of these rebuilt parts for "racing" applications.. Autozone calipers, power booster and master cylinder are rebuilt (brands I've never heard of)?

Every reman brake part i've bought from autozone/advanceauto has been a Rebuilt OEM part.

I've never had a problem with any of them...

I have gotten my reman.ed stuff from the local Kragen's & thru my shop connections at various times. They are the Nissan parts like what is taken off. I have replaced all four corners a few time now. No issues.

I'm currently using a reman MC/booster and front calipers in my '88 CRX Si. As best as I can tell, they are rebuilt from the same parts as the cores I gave them. So far, no problems with any of it.

Get the Honda calipers and compare them to the aftermarket calipers, you won't believe the difference, and you will never want to use aftermarket again, no matter the price. Master cylinders....I personally never use rebuilts on my own cars; customers, I give them the option, but I ALWAYS give them the option of going new. They will last a LOT longer than the rebuilt.

As for the booster. Why are you replacing the booster? I have NEVER seen a Honda booster that NEEDS replacement. I have seen several techs replace one because they were lazy and didn't want to clean the fluid out of it after it leaked out of the real seal of the master. But that is the only reason I have ever seen one replaced. You should be able to get a good used one from a junkyard.

Can't say anything about the MC and booster, but I just go to the Honda dealer and buy rebuild kits and rebuild the calipers myself.
