Default ALTERNATOR FUSE KEEPS BLOWING! wheres the short???

my alternator fuse blows every time i hit v-tec. i looked at all the wires to the best of my ability, especialy my alt.,vss, and O2 wires. any sugestions?

i didnt know the alternator had a fuse??

its usually directly connected to the battery.......

first off.....what kinda car is it? what engine/ECU? what fuse exactly is blowing? where is it located and whats the size? also what else (electrical) did you install onto the car?

2000-2001 Integra, it would be the secondardy O2 sensor heater circuit...guess how I know I found this out 3 years ago the hard way. For me it was the wires rubbing against the body, which caused a short.

its a 2001 integra, although i converted to obd1 so im not running a secondary O2. the car is stock but i just threw a gsr swap and modified my ls harness. all the wires that i could see look good. car was running fine after the swap for about 500 miles

I would check the resistance on the vtec solenoid. It sounds like it may be shorted and thats why it happens when vtec engages.
