what consists of a ctr motor?
in regards to what omniman was saying in the thread that is stickied at the top
i thought a ctr motor was a b16 block, ctr pistons, ctr cam, b16 head, intake manifold and guessing a b16 crank?
does someone want to shine some light on how the ctr engine comes from the factory?

ill take a stab at this
ctr motor has the same deck height as a 1.8l ITR or GSR motor. difference are
1)crank (ctr is a destroked itr motor)
2)pistons (bigger dome for high comp)
3)rods (longer than a standard b16a)
4)cams (more agressive)
5)valve springs are of the "R" family
6)the head is different i know, but i beleive its identical to a TYPE-R Integra head but im not 100% sure.

yeah i kinda remembered that the block is the same now
gsr/itr/ctr blocks are the same
are the ctr rods longer or shorter than itr/gsr?

i beleive the ITR/GSR and CTR rods are all the same. the blocks are also identical for the most part. so people that say the run CTR internals on their b16a, are full of **** most of the time cause the rods are too long, like 7mm i heard an the cranks are different, etc. hope that helps
