I'm just looking for as much information as I can on these pistons. I have a mechanic at a Honda dealership helping me with my rebuild. He's curious as to what the weight of these pistons are, the height, the valve reliefs, pretty much any specs you could give me would help. Thanks.

 

the usdm type r pistons are the same as your si pistons if you have a b16. no bs. if you are trying to raise compression then go with the ctr pistons. I am currently running p73 pistons in my si at .25 overbore.

 

Well, I'm building up my JDM GSR engine, but when I'm done, the only GSR thing about it will be the crank, rods, valves and tranny. Everything else is being replaced. The guy that's helping me is really interested in this build-up and wants to make sure everything is compatible with each other. I keep trying to reasure him that these pistons will work, but he keeps telling me he wants to see the specs.

CTR pistons with my block and head will yeild about a 12.0:1+ compression ratio. I'm shooting for an 11 or 11.5:1 CR. That's why I'm going with the JDM ITR pistons.
