Should i buy?
Well, the trans is gone, why? Must mean that the car was abused...
Since you mentioned that is is clean in/out, is the paint original? Maybe it was painted to boost resale value.. Just a thought, if you do plan on buying (considering your up to the task of the trans work, or at least paying for it) have a mechanic take a look at it before you buy, with a smart technician, you can find out the REAL problems.....
the seller might be a person like my OLD friend, "oh yeah, I don't know why the car shakes at 60mph+, might be the alignment", after he had the frame pulled straight since he hit a guardrail...

if he takes that offer, scoop it up, even if it doesn't work out, parting it out will make you alot more than $200.. Good buy if you can get it!! I paid $1000 without motor and rims for a 1991 RS Shell.. I am an idoit
