Depends on if you choose to do-away with the resonator and cat. Essentially bigger is better - the less back pressure (ie. the more flow) in the downpipe and exhaust, the quicker the turbo will spool. Thats why some just have a downpipe and not a full exhaust, so there's basically no resistance.
Something you could consider would be having a larger downpipe than exhaust. For example on my setup I have a 3" downpipe which tapers to a 2.5" exhaust, responator, and muffler. You would for sure notice a big increase in spool time having a full exhaust opposed to just a downpipe, though it'd be loud as ****, but bearable

ok ill get the 3inch piping.. but i'm gettiing a good deal on the custom piping for like 100$.... but im not sure if i should have it before the turbo.... because the turbo its not gonna be installed for at least another month or so....
is it bad to have 3 inches as of stock ls (well i have short ram intake, and thats about it)

Im not aware of any adverse side-effects of having no back pressure in the exhaust. I do know that if you dont have any back pressure comming out of the head (ie. no manifold) it can possibly cause damage to the valves or something, im not really sure, just heard of that before.

I got my exhaust from http://www.kteller.com and I have had many compliments on how good my exhaust sounds. It's really deep sounding and I love it. I was worried about the 3 inch being loud, but it's actually very very quiet. I have full 3 inch exhaust, a 22 inch resonator, and a magnaflow oval style muffler.
