Default Question about static weight and race seats

Recently I had my car corner balanced and found out my static weight from left to right is 52% to 48%. I am thinking about getting a race seat for the driver side which will result in a better left to right static weight thus achieving better balance. But my question is, is it beneficial to get a race seat for the passenger side as well to reduce overall weight of the vehicle or to just get one race seat and distribute the left and right percentages more evenly.

If this is for HPDE, wouldn't the weight of your passenger be a bigger variable than the weight of your seat when speaking specifically about cross weights? I would think the only way you could keep such careful track of R/L weight distribution is if you never allowed a passenger in your car.

If this is for race, check to make sure you can replace the passenger seat under your rules. Some rule books specify that you may only remove the seat. Finally, if you can get below minimum weight you can add weight to the passenger floor which should help your balance. If you're not under minimum weight, check to see if you can legally move items to the passenger side, or install optional items (like the fire system) on the passenger floor. Also, if you haven't already, you can remove the driver side glass and mechanism if you use nASScar style door bars which may shift the balance for you a little.
