Yoko A032R, auto-X and DRAG?
i have used these tires for all 3, autoX, drag, and track. I say not so good for Drag, stiff side walls, and drag racing dont mix very well. I love these tires for the track and AutoX though.

I wouldn’t know. It’s just been my experience that a tire with a stiff side wall, will not do very well in drag racing. When comparing the Re010 to the AO32R, I ran a 9.6 in the 1/8 with the RE010s, and a 9.5 with the AO32R but a lot of things could have had an affect on that. That was bone stock with just the tires.

I've noticed that the typical autocross/road race tires obviously have great lateral grip, but aren't much better than street tires for launching grip. My 60 ft times at the Petersburg Prosolo from the last 2 years (last year on V700s, this year on AVS intermediates) were about the same.
Never heard of the AO38R.

I seem to remember GRM testing some tire from Nitto that was a streetable drag tire. I'm sure the name had Extreme something-or-other in it. Anyway, they took it around some turns and said it was surprisingly competent.
So those [Nitto drag radials] might be the way to go. No idea on their longevity though. And bear in mind - a tire that is decent at all of these things won't be great at any of them.

That would be the Nitto NT555R Extreme Performance High Performance Racing Style Street Racing Tire Type R, or whatever it's called. I heard it was a street 555 (i.e. softer street sidewall) with a stickier compound rubber, and that it was indeed surprisingly competent at all three activities when the pressures were adjusted correctly for each. I have no first-hand knowledge of this, though.

yes these tires are called Nitto 555r's Drag radial. I have had these as well
205-45-15 once again the small side wall. They did improve my 60' times by about .1 so maybe they are worth it. If you are going to drag, get a drag tire, and a race tire for all other track and autoX's. I burnt up a set of AO32Rs drag racing, and never got to use them for there real purpose
