Default Cam gears: Which ones?

I'd like to know, out of the three which is better quality and has a better design. AEM, WeaponR and Hayame? I know everybody is gonna say get spoons or todas or whatever but please just give me your opinion out of the 3. Thanks!

AEM

WeaponR

Hayame

Thanks

why not the skunk2.......i think theres a groupbuy on them right now......if you look at them, the skunks have less surface area than the others, so they are probably lighter, plus they have 6 bolts

Well the Hayame has 6 bolts, the weaponR looks a bit like the spoon ones, and AEM well has just the reputation...

Ok maybe I should explain why I am choosing the three. I'm buying them used, I've seen them all and they're all in perfect shape... I can get the AEM's for $120, Hayame $155 and weaponR for $140...

Out of the three, I would take the Hayame but only because it's 6 bolts. I hear a lot of negative things about the aem cam gears so I would stay away from those.

I had a set of AEMs on my car for quite a long time. Never had any problems with slipping or anything and I adjusted them probably four times in one year. So from your choices, I would get the AEMs. And when you tighten the bolts, tighten them right till the allen wrench starts to bend.

If you ever do decide to upgrade cam gears to like Toda, JUN, or Spoon, you may want to consider the new JGs as well. They are now made out of 7075 aluminum and have 4 bolts. Seem like very good quality gears.

Best of luck.
