Default Value of crashed bikes...

so i came home this past weekend to find out that my mom had kinda sold my bike (has been sitting for a year now ). I had owed her money and didn't have the money to finish it so that didn't really bother me, but i think shes is basically giving it away..The guy who got it is my brother friend (me and my brother don't get along). Anyways the bike is a 1998 Kawi ZX6R wtih 12k miles. It was lowsided and suffered only cosmetic damages. Frame is straight, Runs good, etc. Clean title, etc. Basically needs misc. ****. (she even gave him the new $300 headlight). I still have the title to the bike as they have no agreed on a price yet. She told him she wants $1500 for it, he says its not worth more than $800, i think hes trying to pull something on her, but my brother has his back saying the bike isn't worth ****...What do you guys think its worth? Heres a pic as is (after i spent $500 on plastics/paint and $300 for headlight), like i said, frame is straight, clean title..

How much money do you think needs to be put into it to get it up and running like new??? A clean '98 zx6r will run you around $4500ish, so if it's been wrecked...say $4000 minus whatever dollar amount is needed to put in it. All i know is $800 dollars is wayyyy to low, $1,300 even sounds wayyyy to low. I was thinking like atleast about $2k.

not sure exactly, needs new air induction/air box, shield, rear turn signals, wiring to convert to 00-02 headlight, alot of little clips and screws...thats it, the bike runs fine. I would say it could be on the road again with <$1000....hes telling my mom that its worth nothing since it was crashed, repainted, etc etc...

Tell him he's a dumbass and that you want atleast 2k for it...and at that price it's already a steal. If he puts 1k into it thats a 98 zx6r for 3k...that's a deal.

You do owe her money right? So be a man and sell the bike on your own. Tell that little LOW BALLER who wants to steal your bike 2500.00 or no deal. Put it in the cycletrader it will sell within a month or so. BTW how is he going to get the bike?? The title is in your name right? If it is then you have to sign it over to him or technically it wont be his bike. If its in your moms name plea with her that its worth more than that and you will sell it on your own.

You can get a job, keep your bike, and pay back your mom. Or sell your SOL you have in your sig. it seems to be worth money. Seems you have nice toys which you cannot afford.

Hell yeah! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.....Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

I'd ask at least $2k for it, maybe more depending on how much work it needs.

I have a job and can easily pay her back... I can afford it no problem, just don't have the time.

If you want to sell it, I've got 2 more 6Rs looking for a 3rd. I can guarantee a fullfilling life for it. Or if you want a running 6R, we could trade. I remember you working on the 02+ nose last year. In hindsight I wouldn't say it was worth it even though its not hard. Now I get all those annoying "your headlight is out" comments.
