Default Leather

has anyone ever tried DIY leather seats? since my car is being stored for the winter i was thinking of delegating this task to my mommy. Or would it just be wise to buy bucket seats instead of leather (money wise).

I dont know if local fabric shops carry leather........but i have seen something that looks like it. how durable and strong would that be for this application? anywhere online to order leather?

I bet ChrisOnePointSix has dubs on his lawn mower...

I would say go with bucket seats, Sparco to be fit. Leather seats are heavy...

Erm... OK, this is gonna sound REAL stupid to you guys, but what the hell are "dubs"? I'm guessing "dubs"="wheels" somehow. Obviously there's a few slang terms which didn't quite make it here to Australia with an explanation... ah yeah, the other one was "props", which I think are good things? Maybe 4 props = 2 dubs, or some equivalent exchange thing... come on guys, help me out

Oh yeah, just to stay on topic... I was thinking of doing full leather in my lood, but deicded against it for a few reasons... once you do leather, you can't really sell it again so virtually no resale value. Got a pair of sparco seats, and no regrets there at all. However, a mate of mine just got his car back after a $10,000 (yes, ten thousand australian dollars) worth of custom full retrim in his 'teg, pair of recaros, full roof to floor retrim in tan leather and violet suede etc - truly stunning but unbelievable expensive!

slknv: Dubs = 20. When we say chrom dubs, we mean 20 inch chrome rims. Props = daps = praise. When we give props, we praise people. Hope this sheds some light. Holla!!
