When can we expect the return of the Type R?

Never say never, a person on this board actually owns a real DC5R in the states, if you really want it, you can make it happen, money is the only restraint.
Arno-who cant wait unitl Expo4 to get a ride in the DC5R

it's possible, but i don't think that it'd be worth it for honda/acura to release it with the competition such as evo 8, 350Z, and sti especially if they would be in the same price range. maybe honda is working on something better.
Well I dont think teh RSX R(ITR) isnt that great and worth getting. Basically there isn't that much difference from RSX-S to R and Compared to Dc2R to GSR

The k-series motor has such great potential that its hardly debatable if its worth getting or not. Hands down i would say yes. I understand what your saying about the comparison and what not but the DC5 will be an incredible car to have here in the states if they ever import them.

There's too much competition out here that can outrun the Type-R. We also gotta remember that once it comes to the states, we lose horsepower. We never get the full potential due to emission restictions. Honda may have to go back to the drawing boards for a USDM version. We are most likely not getting the Type-R here though.
Blah blah blah, it's all specualtion. Bottom line is that IF it does come here, it's going to be tamed down a little bit due to two main factors.
A) Emissions
B) Our shitty fuel.
Which I guess kinda go hand and hand...

id like to c the nsx-r here also but with all that carbon fiber and the car not weighing a lot it wouldnt do to good on crash tests and stuff from what some people i talked to at dealerships they said there has been no talk as to selling the dc5r in the us
I dont plan on seeing it myself... dissapointing too on how sexy i think the car is but according to vtec.net theres going to be a mmc to it im wondering what that is going to entail.

1. It is not US crashtest worthy in JDM/Euro spec form (bumper supports, side bags, etc.)
2. Will NOT meet US '03-'04 LEV standards in the 220hp Type R configuration.
3. Making the car US market friendly would not make it affordable nor desirable to previous Type R owners.

Neeeeeeeeeever.
<---------Who wishes the RSX-R would come to the states. Would make a nice addition to the garage.
