can you cut and reweld the motor mount holders in a 89 crx so that i can use the stock b-series engine motor mounts??? if so... does a complete engine swap come with the stock motor mounts?

buy the aftermarket ones. that way if you try rewelding and what not you won't kick yourself in the *** when your motor falls on the ground and you have a whole new can of problems.

It's really not that much to buy aftermarket mount kits.

 

just buy some mounts, I have been down both paths and when is was all said and done, my crx with the mount kit is still running and the one with the cut and welded mount is not. If you get the mount kit it makes the swap much cleaner and straight foward....

yes it isposible-i have seen it on 3 diff cars.

 

only one you have to reweld is the tranny side... the other 2 mounts can be in the same place.. this is for b series motors...


and to the person saying your motor is going to fall out is a complete idiot .... just because when you came into the hybrid scene they had 5 different mount kits doesnt mean rewelding doesnt work... only thing i woudl recommend are motor mount inserts....
