Default Jun 3's on stock bottom end B16a2?

Hi want to run the Jun stage 3's with Jun springs, pulleys and skunk 2 retainers. I'm also getting it ported & polished with a 3 angle valve job, so was wondering since the head is off what head gasket to go for and would just going for a thinner H/G be an adequate compression increase?

Also while I'm here I was trying to decide on a header. Either a Toda (bit of a bugger to get hold of hear in the U.K), Mugen Gymkhana, Spoon 4-2-1 or a Jun?

Anyway cheers to anybody that can help

Jun 3's are pretty gnarly cams. You might want to consider putting some atleast 12.5:1 pistons in your block, with a nice set of rods or go with a less agressive cam. Alot of people use ctr cams in stock set ups like you have

And for the header, i am going to run a spoon, or a jun. I think you will be happy with both. Or check out an-r headers, or dtr fab headers. Both are really good

You're going to need injectors as well if you run that high of compression. As for the setup, you might want to consider getting Hondata and a Hondata gasket.

Cheers for the reply. I think I'm going to leave the cams for a while until I've saved up a little bit more as going to Hondata would mean me going to OBD1 aswell as increasing the comp and uprating the injectors. So I'm going to get a Toda manifold and uprate the brakes and lines. Whats the point in going faster if you cant stop hey?

i used skunk stage 2 cams on my stock bottom end b16. the head was pretty much built, ported polished, skunk 2 intake mani etc.. made 162whp 115torque with shitty compression.. you'll love the way how your motor feels.. make sure you get a chipped ecu, your going to need to rev to 9400 rpms to take advantage of those cams.. b16 bottom ends can handle those revs no problem

those cams will work fine in your setup.. you dont need anymore compression to run those cams Yes more is always better, But its not neccessary... just put them in and maybe you might want to try our ecu program from your b16a, and a get a fpr... go have some fun..

Money, you hit it right on the head. With the B16's almost perfect R/S you'll be able to rev it to hell and back and actually make power with the cams. The Toda header would be a really good addition with good ground clearance and it makes really good power for an off the shelf header. As for the headgasket stock would be find, but if you do feel the need for a little more compression the Mugen 2 layer is pretty quality. HTH

162whp on stock bottom end with stock HG and JUN II cams- was running the JUN header and JUN TI exh. it works, but it's not the best bang for the buck

Well, I've got a Toda manifold on order and also a Apexi power FC so it's time to order the cams and valvetrain. I'll also order either the spoon or Mugen H/G to up the comp a tad.
What other ways of upping the comp are there? I was going to go for the spoon stroker but it's come to my attention that its for the b16b only.
Also whats the valve clearance like with these cams and thinner H/G? and would the stock fuel pump and injectors need changing?
I best ask now before I get the thing in bits and have to wait for more parts

Cheers all
