Default B18B vs B18c turbo

I've been hearing that the B18B turbo pulls harder than the B18c turbo. Why is that, B18c has more power that the B18b na, but the B18b has lower compression so it is boost friendly. Which one will pull harder on the same boost?

both on the same boost I would put my money on the B18c. The only advantage I see on the B18b when boosting is the lower compression which means more boost compared to a high compression B18c which means less boost.

The B18B will pull harder tell vtec becuase at the same boost it will generaly have more torque them the B18C. All do to a longer strocke. (87)GSR vs. (89)LS

i would say the b18b because of teh stroke and it puts out a slight more displacement than teh b18c...but past vtec it could be a different story

i think the b18c considering the fact that the c has 40hp more and 8tq more. the b can have more boost but would need a lot to make up that 40hp. and the b redlines at 6500 and the c redlines at 8200.

on the same boost, with the stock tranny for each, in the same car, the b18c will walk away in second and run away in third gear onward.
