Hey everyone; I got a question that I could not find by searching.
Basically I have a b16a2 with a slight idle issue.
I think it maybe the coolant for I have bled it not too long ago before the slight bogging in idle at times.
When I run my car the radiator fan does NOT kick in, I first thought it was because it is cool weather but my lower radiator hose is pretty cold so I think it's my themostat.
My question is, will a faulty themostat be the cause for air to not bubble out of the coolant?
When I run the car with the radiator cap off coolant just spills out, but I never get any bubbles.

Or is the bottom hose supposed to be cool after normal operating temps?

 

my guess is yeah, if your thermo isn't opening up, then there will not be any coolant moving through your radiator
