alright well I got them about a month ago and there are 3 pirches when I first got them on i stayed on the middle perch which will keep you at the same height you were on before but then I decided to drop it to the next pirch I have comptech sport springs which lowered it 1.25 then with the added inch in the front i was down 2.25 inches and about 1.5-1.8 in the back. I think my spring rate is fine with the yellows but I don't know with stock springs and if you do have performance springs always add that 1 inch if you decide to go with lowest pirch because its going to be ******* low, I was off 2.9 degrees in the front so got a camber kit in the front and attached the washers in the back but its worth it, it rides like a dream and I don't hit anything just have to be careful around curbs so I don't hit that front end but I'm very pleased with the ride, it all depends on how careful you drive

sorry i didn't explain it clearly the first time, but i meant do u have to adjust the stiffness of the shocks by turning the **** on top of the shocks to match the spring rate (stiffness) or do u just leave it at the softest setting. how do u know if u matched it or not?
btw thanks.

I just installed my Koni Yellows and I'm 99% sure it doesn't matter. The entire reason for adjustable shocks is so that you can adjust them to suit your needs, whether it be Auto-X or normal streets. If you needed a certain setting for a specific spring then you would have to buy them in pairs. So basically a shock/spring kit for each side. Hmm....that sounded kinda rude, didn't mean it to be that way, but I highly, highly doubt it. Have fun adjusting! I am.

The adjustment on Koni yellows is not to match your spring rates; it's meant to adjust the rebound dampening (as opposed to compression dampening) of the shock. "Off the shelf" Koni yellows are supposed to handle up to a spring rate of 600 ft./lbs. which is more than adequate for most of us. Shocks that are matched to particular spring rate need to be special ordered. By playing around with the different firmness settings, you can dial in whatever handling characteristics you want (e.g., more oversteer, etc.). Around town, I like mine set at 1/2 turn firm on the fronts, and 3/4 turn firm in the rear. When autocrossing, I set the fronts at 3/4 turn firm and 1-1/4 turn firm in the rear and this really helps the car rotate around the turns.

Here's how I set my shocks...

Everyday driving, set them all the way firm, then loosen them 1/2 of a complete turn. Still very responsive and sporty, yet it doesn't feel like a go cart.

If I've got some girls in the car, I set them to soft, and then stiffen them up 1/2 to 1 full turn.

When I race I set them all the way up to firm.
