2 17 mm bolts behind the caliper (one on the top and one by the bottom) and then the 2 screws in the front and it pops right off.

and when you put them back on don't tighten them down that super tight.

they aren't nessacary as you wheel hold the rotor onto the hub

Just drill out the screws, like the above is stated, the wheel keeps the rotor on, the screws are insurance, but i drilled them out back in feb 03 and i have yet to have any problem because there is no reason to really. It will just make ur life easier than impacting them out.

OR use a screwdriver and a hammer and tap the screwdriver a little then try to loosen them. It helps break them loose.

be careful with those two screws though. they are "fragile", i stripped one of them once. be careful and yes, they are hard to get out. take your time

no need to drill them out. that will take more time than using an impact driver would. seconds to break em loose..

yeah them screws are a bitch at times...at the shop we use the impact driver with a hammer....it comes off with no time...u can also do the same with the screwdriver.....

but when i changed my cuz rotors i didnt have the impact driver..so i used the screw driver..and it accidentally stripped...so i had to chizzle it out..then hit the back of the rotor with a hammer till it came off

i didnt put them back on..just to make my life easier when i changed the brakes again...but u should put them back on..even though they are not needed

Dont drill the screws out. Get an impact driver from Sears, it cost like 26 dollars. The tool is not a waste of money for this one time you will use it again.

Yes they do strip easy with them being a Philip's head screw. Ive changed out rotors and still stripped them with a impact driver, and then had to bust out the Dremmel and make the screw a flat head. I wish Honda would have made them that way from the beginning. If you do happen to strip the screws and need new ones or just want to change them out anyways. You cant get them at your local Auto store in the help section there like 2 bucks for 8 of them, the package is even marked Honda.

i dont want to sound harsh, but if you dont know how to take the rotor off of a car you shouldn't even attempt to do brakes. Just from the safety stand point alone.

i actually just changed my rotors and pads today. just take the caliper off with the 12 mm bolts. then take the two 17 mm bolts off that hold the caliper bracket on. next, use an impact screwdriver to take the two philips screws out. mine came out easy luckily. thats about it.
