Default Is Mugen 4-1 better or 4-2-1 better for ITR

Hi everyone,

Can you shed some lights on what are the pros & cons for the Mugen 4-1 and 4-2-1 headers?
I had been looking for a Mugen 4-2-1 header for my car, but I see most people have the 4-1 header other than the 4-2-1 header..... I know 4-2-1 will gives better mid-range power, but will the power drop earlier than the OEM setting?

Also, I see this 4-1 header in Yahoo Auction and am interested, what do u guys think??

Thanks as always!!

I would recommend not getting a mugen header all together.

There are better alternatives such as spoon and toda as far as off the shelf header goes.

If you want to get even more extreme, look at Hytech, SMS, and the comptech race.

Why do you say that about the Mugen header? I know it is expensive but it has a 2.5 inch collector just like a lot of the other JDM headers. TODA is sick though

Marc, I have yet to see a SINGLE Toda header pop up on Yahoo JPN Auction...the JDM Mugen headers usually sell for 400-500 bux over there

Jeez, why the hate on MUGEN! Depends on your setup, u should look into 4-2-1 or 4-1, i am currently pimpin a toda 4-2-1 header, great for midrange, works well with the cams, and best fit and clearance as well.

the only thing i dont like about the 4-1 header is that a lot of time u can bottom out and damage the header from underneath.

DC 4-1 JDM & Comptech 4-2-1 if you wanna save some cash.
Hytech and/or SMSP if you want the best

No one is hating on the header. I am simply just stating that your money could be spent elsewhere.

It is a great quality peice but for the money spent, I would expect more power.
