Default 5th Gen Stock Front Speakers

Hey all

Looking for info on my front speakers. How do I get to them to upgrade. Does the door panel have to come off or just the speakers grill ?

Also - whats my options for speaker size which will fit in the pre-existing opening???

Thanks much for the help.
JEFF

the whole door panel needs to come off but takes less than five minutes to remove,
the speakers are six and a halfs, and you only really need to be concerned with this and the depth on the magnet on the speaker, I now have component/seperates, in the rear instead of the front b/c of this.

well the grill and door sill, really. But i was able to fit 6.5"'s up in the front, all i had to do was to hacksaw the backing of the speaker cradle, just keeping the frame intact, some strips of dynamat, connect up and screw in and put the stuff back, sounds great, hope this helps.
