Default anyone running RS Machine Dohc Vtec cams?

Just curious on what kind of compression ratio's people are running with these cams. And also what kind of numbers are people putting down using these cams. Thanks.

Ya i talked to a couple of reputable tuners and was told that the RS cams are pretty close to the Jun 3's. So no one out there using these?

A guy that I buy my engine parts from says he dyno'd them and told me they're not as good as everyone says. Stick with Jun or Skunk2.

your an idiot...

RS cams were dyno'd back to back to JUN III's and made more power...

I guy I know dyno'd these cams and he saw nothing good, that is all that I said. Who exactly tested them back to back with JUN and showed physical proof to everyone? Did you see the dyno? Or did you HEAR that they were so ******* good?

I am a owner and user of the RS cams and they work great ive tested them against the jun3 skunk2 and they made better graph not to mention more horsepower. Ive tested the cam my customers b16 bonestock with all the bolt ons and it made 178 to the wheels most people cant even do that with there type r motors i use them in my own race car and they work very well... I would recommend them to all b series owners. Now on people that say they dont work I dont knoe who these people are nor do I knoe that they actually even race they mite just be Skunk2 distributors trying to hate just trying to sell a product or two to people that dont knoe... Bottom line is that I give the RS cams two thumbs up they havent failed me yet nor have they failed in my customers rides that commute daily to and from work

They guy who showed me the dyno's doesn't sell cams. If I'm going to buy cams then I want to see a dyno sheet which proves the power. RS Machines themselfs didn't show a dyno sheet for their cams. All I am saying is I would buy a cam that has dynos to back the up like Skunk2, Toda and JUN. These cams have lots of proof that they make power. Unlike some cams users that just say they're good. I WANT PROOF!

Theres nothing that tells me that I should prove anything to you... You say another guy says they dont work well here I am just another guy saying that it works... Bottom line is I knoe what I dynoed and ive already proved it to myself... To you I say you go buy what you think works dyno it and then tell me what you think... Now back to cams Ive had hundreds if not thousands of hours on dynos in last 9 years of Honda racing I always like to find out what works or not... I try to enlighten others of my expieriences ill tell you guys this Nothing is like the RS cams ive tested them against the entire line of the Toda cams Jun and Skunk which are three top contenders I mite add and the Rs cam soared of those cams dont get me wrong it didnt make no 20 hp more then the others but it just made a lil more everywhere on the graph as much as 4.7 on the graph and 2 peak hp i thinks thats alot... If i were to put these cams in a lineup this is how it would go 1.RS cams 2.Jun3 3.Skunk type2 4.Skunktype3 Last but not least 5.Toda D then C

oops i forgot about the Jun 4... they are not for Drag one of my friend s found that out the hard way when we tested them and they were nothing but s very strong mid range cam so they would be last for Drag but I think they would be a great cam for Road racing

My friend has a set in his car right now.Idle is great power is great. His car dynoed at 191hp 134lbs.His set up is pretty mild.It is an LSVTEC.CR is about 11.0 may be lower. The pistons are USDM TypeR pistons,TypeR head with valvetrain upgrade and two layer head gasket,JDM header,60mm exhaust. It still has A/C and power steering as well.

Dude with the same setup using Skunk2 Stage 1 we are making 191whp & 136ftlb w/5000rpm VTEC & extremely fat torque curve on stock JDM Type-R with all engine accessories (A/C, P/S, etc) & we have Dyno to prove it!!!

It's really irritating when people post links to other h-t threads that are suppose to show dyno plots, graph etc; and when you go to that thread.. no dyno's. If you're gonna post a link that shows dyno plots it would be nice if they are actually there. All I see is people talking about dyno graphs and commenting about dyno #'s, To me that just doesnt do it. I've yet to see the actual dynos of RS cams.

I'm not saying they are the best cams out there. My friend just wanted to try them out.He said he going to swap them out for Skunk2 Stage2 and DNR cams so he can compare them. All will be with the same setup.
