greddy claims the Vafc cant tune vtec engagement points, as the SOHC vtecs have variable engagement points.......so why do SOHC accorders waste extra money on a feature they cant use aka. not buying a Safc

I agree about dyno'ing.

fortunately it works on the f22b1 and its sohc vtec.

however the newer f23 models I heard it does not work properly, but cannot confirm.

It works fine with the F23.

A'PEXi made a mistake in their pinouts for the F23. That's the only reason there has been any doubt about it.

really??.....so then does the VAFC override the ablility for variable vtec engagement points??.....therefore making the f22 engage like an H22 (at set points as the engine revs)

i remember when neidejb was using the VAFC on his setup he had to the VAFC set to 3100k and it enagged there everytime no matter what the load. So i would assume it doesn override the ECUs load controls(all speculation though)

Yeah, I don't see why it shouldn't work.

It's just telling the ECU to engage V-TEC at that RPM from now on.

with how the vafc is wired in, the ecu can not bypass the apexi unit... so I am confused how the ecu would be able to override your controller. you cut the vtec signal wire and it then runs through the controller.

anyways good to know on the f23... I thought they were different than the f22b1 I have.

I have the correct pinouts saved somewhere on my computer. I can't even remember who posted them. It was either from Toronto Accords, Honduh, or even HondaSociety.

I'll post the pinouts as soon as I find them.
