Have you checked for vacuum leaks? The PCV valve would be the first I would check.

i replaced the pvc valve a couple of months ago, the funny thing is this just happened suddenly, could it be the idle control valve or ported vacuum switch, ive been on the web all day looking at different sites the only thing that comes close is a rough idle, ported vacuum switch was recomended, no computer on this one but there is a bunch of vacuum lines

Yes, there are alot of vacuum lines. Does spraying some brake cleaner or crab cleaner in the carb keep it from stalling/make the rpm pick up?

after a week of looking for a vacuum leak and checking everything that was recomended, I got around to looking at the carb much closer when I went the check the idle mixture screw i discovered it wasnt there, gone, AWOL, guess thats why it wouldnt idle, thanks for the help JIM
