white smoke is coolant... do a compression and leakdown test... could be a bad headgasket

 

i just had the same problem, the idiot before me didn't use a headgasket, instead, he used that blue ****. i just got the head rebuilt and new gaskets put in today, started it up and the majority is gone.

Probably a coolant leak?

 

pull off the valve cover breather hose and see if smoke comes from there...if it does...it's your rings.

its all good now doesnt matter!! i just got another 88 crx si for $400 bucks mint condition! just needs tranny!!pece im out takin the other tranny out!!!

 

know I'm bringing this back from the dead sorta...but I'm parting out an entire 88 si for the most part..so if you need any various pieces let me know...looking to get rid of as many as I can without paying a stupid auction fee before I go ebay.
