Default Mugen Chip mod for VTEC

I am hoping to improve performance with a MUgen chip on my '91 Prelude ('92 US). The chip is on its way ex ebay. Is it easy to do? Is it worthwhile? Are ther any other mods that I can make easily? Eg does an aftermarket pod filter deliver extra HP or is it all hype? Total bunny her, so keep it simpe folks!

Stay away from E-BAY chips... you will be wasting your time and money because they are simply no good.

Are chips even worth it? I remember reading an article awhile back saying that chips don't really do anything. How much power can you gain from them?

Chips are not worth it. Fuel maps should be tuned to individual setups to get the most power safely. That should be done on an ecu that can be tuned and has to be done on a dyno.

Exactly; Every car & setup is individual.
And do you think Honda is so crap at tuning its cars it needs some somone to sell direct replacement chips for stock cars! Honda always geta good balance of power and reliability on a stock engine and yeah Ebay chips = money + blow down Hole!

Whew! That seems unanimous. I don't think Honda are no good at tuning cars, but they have other issues like pollution laws to consider, and that may be incompatible with the best settings for power or economy or whatever. Anything else I could do easily to boost "go" ?
