loss of power in high rpms...
well last night i was getting on the freeway (motor was up to operating temp) and i was following behind my friend who was riding his cbr600. well he opens it up and even though i have no chance keeping up i didnt want him getting too far ahead. so i do the same. i was in 2nd and i went WOT, hit vtec, and at around 6k there was a huge loss in power. it didnt cut out but it just stopped pulling, so i went to third and it did the same thing. my car has always seemed somewhat slow for a 4th gen vtec (maybe cuz its a 96?) but it always pulls hard up to at least 7k. the only two things i can think of are low fuel pressure (caused by what?) and the fact that my clutch slips like mad. can someone help me here? thanks in advance!
yeah i would have to say fuel related too. reason: when i first got my swap, my motor lagged at the top end. pissed me off like crazy. but then i found out my injectors were clogged/dirty. so changed them out and its good.
OR
it might be the fact you were racing a CBR

it also has a little hesitation when i drive it "lightly" especially in the low end

it was hardly racing, more like trying to keep him in sight
