Default k24 s2000

question?

so if a k series tranny will bolt up to an s2k bottom end, will the k24 bottom end bolt to an s2k head?

i know about the higher revving f20c , so i am thinking about the torque...

come on jack, i know this thought has had to have crossed your mind

I don't know if a s2k head will bolt up to the k24 bottom end. You'd be better off with a type S head. And you won't be high revving if you're running the k24 block. The longer stroke will make 9000 rpm's extremely hard to accomplish. And I've never heard of the k series tranny being compatable with a f20 motor, someone clarify please.

The k24 bottom k20 head has been done before without results "they" were looking for. Some people won't mind and some people won't "take it" I for one won't mind as long as you do some "smart shopping" and just find the parts a little cheaper.

It can be rev to 9000. It's not extremely hard this is 2004. A modified drivetrain, head, pistons and enough fuel will do it. K24 is stronger than any
b-series.

The new S2000 engine has a 2.2 liter block and makes as much torque stock as a k24 with 80 more ponies on the high end, so it doesn't make much sense in my opinion to be trying to switch blocks, but the tranny idea is sweet to make the f22c a fwd, rwd conversions are way to expensive.

Isn't that K20 tranny bolted to some type of custom bell housing/mount in order to fit that F20C?

I emailed this guy last month. Basically he said the k20a is the way to go... the new vtec is better and the k-series can handle more power then the f series. Also, he said the trannys DONT simply bolt up, its a custom job they did to try and sell, they scraped the idea after doing it as tehy see the K20 as teh way to go. By the way, they put a k20 in a lotus exige at 240whp instead of the frankinstein f/k.
