Bored out 2.0 B16 motor??
Can the 99-00 Si motor be bored out to 2.0 liter and then turbocharged with low compression pistons, and built bottom end with CP pistons, eagle rods, 1100cc RC injectors, Hondata s200b and which 390whp+? cause my friend just bought a 00 Si and he wants to bore it out to a 2.0.
you can bore it to 2.0 liter...the most you can bore it out with aftermarket sleeves is 1.8...than stroke it to 2.0 liters...you dont need 1100cc injectors for 390whp...maybe around 6-700whp...
you can't bore it out to a 2.0 on a stock block.
you'll need to get 1.8L crank, and get the block sleeved and bored to 84mm
then, get rods/pistons that fit the crank and the deck height. He's better off getting a 1.8L block... and boring it out.
You don't have to do all that bullshit to get 390hp... you can get that much power on a stock block with forged pistons/rods

I had my b16a2 bored to 84mm. Which makes it a 1.8, but how would I make it a 2.0? Would I just need to change the crank to B18C one? What would the advantage be of going to a 2.0. Is it just more torque???

never mind to my previous post someone already responded, but to answer one of the previous posts as to why he wouldn't just get a b18c block. I think it's a lot harder to get one of those these days. If he already has the b16 use that. Why waste the money of trying to get a b18c. B16's get no respect...

because he only wants to out run stock Z06's, and cameros, and stangs, I shootin for that, but our cars are daily driven tho. see I got the 1.8 GSR in my Civic now, but he wants to bore his out to a 2.0 and, I told him his block cant handle it and he needs to have a LS block, but he wanted me to post it

What? That makes ZERO sense, misinformation...
Anyway, if I was you, save your money and just get pistons and rods. Spend that extra money piecing together a nice turbo set up.

Time for you to learn a little more, before misinforming others.
Personally..I consider STOCK Mustang GT's a joke out of the V8 family, especially the older GTs. In my civic, I have beaten 2 stock 94 GT stangs. My mods are in my sig. But back to your post..I wouldn't waste time and money into making a b16a into a 2.0 liter. Just build the bottom end with some forged pistons and rods and enjoy the boost. That will be more than enough to take care of some LT1 and LS1 z28s and a ton of Mustang GTs. The b16a has the best rod/stroke ratio of all the b-series..so i wouldn't swap the crank out for a b20 crank or anything, then you would be hurting the longetivity of the motor. Boring out the motor and and swapping in a b18 crank would probably be more feasible, but I consider it a waste of time and money. Just build the b16a as it is, and boost the baby. If 390hp is all you want..the stock bore will be fine.
