i have an h23a and since i had some things rebuilt in it my clutch has burned out. my uncle who is a mechanic says that the extra hp the clutch cant handle it what kind of clutch should i be getting and should i get a new tranny 2?

 

Well how many HP are you talking? What have you done to the car?

Is your tranny acting up? If not then why replace what isn't broken (yet)

 

The factory clutch should be good up to 200 ft/lb's, so unless you're doing something major, I wouldn't worry. The OEM discs are much cheaper than a strong aftermarket.

 

If you don't plan on going buck-wild... you should be able to get an Exedy stock equivalent clutch. I hear they're reasonably priced on E-Bay.

 

Or even go to a local car parts store and see what they have. Almost all clutch disks are made by Exedy. Take a look at it and it will say right on it if it is. I know a friend got one at CAP for his CRX and it was actually an Exedy. The box said a different name on it because Exedy makes them for a lot of different companies.

 

Is the Pressure Plate bad too. If not just get a disc from anywhere. I do not know what Hp goals you have, but that is what i would do.
