1.5 Motor w/manual into 1.5auto?
New here...
Have an 89 Civic LX with assumingly bad head. My girl went to CO and on the way back the motor started chugging. Idle is the worst. I changed the long over due o2 sensor and the fuel filter, the one under the hood, plugs, and it still idles like chit!My question is... are all d15 motors the same, and will a motor from a manual car bolt up to an auto tranny. This is all for my girls car and we have a good deal on a rebuilt 1.5 for her LX ($200.) You can hear a pfffftt..pfffftt noise hear the front of the block, I checked the manifold, what am I missing here?
TY for your time and tech

I need to know if the whole motor will match up to the auto transmission. I have only changed the clutch in my 89 CRX Si, so I have no idea between the difference of how an auto tranny vs.manual mount up. I really appreciate your help, as this is my girls daily driver, and here in IL the mechanics are shabby when working on Imports.
