Who is running Greddy EVO2 exhaust on the R ??
Someone is selling me a Greddy EVO2 system for a very good price and I am wondering if it is worth it .. I'd like to hear from people using the system and your impressions .. Anyone ?? Thanks !!
Greddy = Piece of ****
It's pretty much bling because it won't give you that much power. It's a 60 mm system so it's only slightly bigger than stock. And as said before it will rust.

i think this has been gotten into before. the evo is a nice exhaust for some and not for others. some have had it rust, some havent. i had mine in the pac nw for 3 years and no problems whatsoever. ran it on 6psi, and like has been said earlier, it can support mod's fairly well, but if you plan on making over 300whp (pretty unnecessary
) then look into something else. the bottom line is that greddy makes very high quality parts imo and many others.

I believe so. Like you said GReddy seems to make good quality stuff. Looks like they have a new N1 style system out also.

i dont get how everybody is exoeriences probs with their evo i have 1 and have had ZERO problems with rust or anything its very easy to avoid rust take care of it its that simple peoples anger about their rust boils down to their laziness to take care of it.

Uhh No, I don't think so.
What are you fuggin under the car polishing, drying and keeping it tidy all of the time?
Mine began to rust at the weld beads about 3 months after I got it, and got pretty shitty after 6 months and of course I kept the car clean and even used to wipe down the cannister after washing it. But, I wouldn't crawl under the car to do all of that, and THAT is where the problems were.
As well, I live in the North East where it rains, snows and is otherwise cold and inclement for at least 4 months of the year not to mention my highway departments liberal use of road salt and sand and recently implementing saline trucks before the snow even falls.
Thanks for the good laugh though.
I still say My Greddy EVO was rusted junk
Sorry though, I have no formed opinion about the 'EVO2".

i acually helped my friend put in a evo 2 exhaust today on his rsx-s, it sounds really sweet as for power gains, felt a nice top end difference might of been the testpipe, and header we did also... all in all evo2 aint that bad id say, i wouldnt put it on the r though
!T1R BABY!

Well, I guess the rusting should not be an issue now that it is full stainless .. (Cross my fingers).. My mods should put my car in the low 200s. It is NA. I considered the T1R but its a little too loud (not that the EVO2 is that much quieter)and it is much more expensive than the EVO2.
One last question.. I noticed that the EVO2 is NOT listed for the 2001 ITR. There are 2 part numbers for the GS-R models. Which one should I be looking at ??
