this boost problem is really pissing me off man!!
guys im still having boost leak problems i dont get it , i just dont. ive tightened all my clamps , checked everything...i even took my boost controller off , hooked up the actuator stock , and turned the actuater arm up to 8 lbs and it still does it , i tightened my blow off valve 2 full rotations and still does it....what could be causing this!!!! my guage goes up to 8.5 then slowly goes down to the high 6's when im close to redline. what gives????
my car does the same thing sometimes. are you using a small turbo? maybe its not efficent up top. it could be ne thing. what manifold are you using? is it taped for an egt gauge but you have soemthing screwed int he hol? its not a boost leak cause mine just fixed its self one day. its freaking weird. BTW do you have a dump tube? or are you running open atmosphere? i need more info then i an help you
the wastegate line is hooked up to the turbo compressor side from the factory(greddy)
and i know the turbo is small , its a 15g , but ive seen these turbos flow efficient up to 15 lbs so i know it can handle 8 lbs like a champ , this is really pissing me off....cause its causing low dyno pulls , cant figure out whats going on....and it does sound like a leak somewhere but icant really tell if thats what it is or not

if you think you have a leak why dont you pressure test it?? I made a pressure tester out of a bike tire pump (needs to have a gauge on it) a rubber coupling and one of those pvc end caps. If you hook it all together and hook it to your charge pipes all you have to do is use the gauge on the bike pump to see if you are loosing pressure. You can find more info on this if you search.
Build a boost leak detector.
examine your wastegate seating surface to verify that it's seating properly.
perhaps your exhaust is too restrictive? (im unaware of your setup)
I wouldn't put it past a blown connector where you cant see it. i've had this happen.

Well you know how to find it, you just don't want to. Several people have told you how to find the leak, you just chose not to listen or take their advice.

99 D16y8 and it's a Full Greddy Kit, Greddy Manifold
I think ur aculator is fucked up, u might of mess it up doing the waste gate trick one to many times, becuse u don't have any leaks in the lines, or a crack in the manifold and everything is tighten.

hey did you fix your problem yet? if you did let me know the solution. I'm starting to hate Greddy now, my problem is that when I accel into boost it holds at 8, but when i floor it, it reaches 6 then drop to like 5

LOL, you guys have the opposite problem I have with my 15G. It's ******* creeping to 11 psi, and the actuator's at the stock setting!
Hella_JDM, what's your vac. line setup? Are you running a line from the compressor to the WG? If you are, scrap that, cap the compressor source, and run a line straight from the WG to the FPR, run your BOV off your brake booster and run your boost gauge off the cruise control line. That should help out. I hope I didn't **** up my actuator, I'm tired of putting repair money into this car.
