JUST bought my CRX tonight!
WOHOOO!
It is a 1991 DX and the only thing i hate most about this car is the fact that it's a automatic
. But for the price I couldn't pass it up. The interior is well kept just a little rip on the driver seat. The exterior has a bit of work that needs to be done. The hood has a tiny bend in it, driver side window needs replaced, and a little damaged to the drivers side (looks like about a 10mph dent right behind the driver side door. I'm thinking quater-panel?). Other than that car is looking good!
The engine sounds strong as HELL.
Well it already has an intake on the car (like all others
) it also has clear coners and fogs. I Picked up the car for $850! I don't think it's to bad for my first car. There's one thing i'm worried about now, the guy had the intake ghetto-rigged with a towel between it and the battery. It's there so that it doesn't touch the battery's postive. So when there's light out tommorow morning I'm going to take a look at it. I'm 17 years old with ZERO experience working on cars, and it's kinda hard to really work on it when you don't have knowledge on what to do. SO be expecting me to ask quite a couple questions here.
So I'm going to get my window put in tommorow so i wanted to know what are the certaint things to look for on my car? Is there any engine components that you guys want to point out to me and exactly where it is(yeah, i'm really a noob)? Well thanks for anything you guys want to share with a new member here.....well offically aleast. And it's a good feeling to say i paid EVERY penny for MY car!!

I would say check for rust but you live in Cali so i doubt there's a problem with rust... Go buy a Repair Manual (Chilton/Haynes) helps out alot when working on a stock vehicle
An automatic Dx? I think it would have been sweet to get an auto crx with a b series swap. Still have the power and not have to shift.
I hate me 5spd for rushour traffic, but love it on open roads.
Good luck man

I dont believe there were any auto B-series CRX's made ever. I could be wrong though.

Congrats on the car man! Like stated before, this is going to be a great car for you to learn on then down the road, get a si. I wouldnt even think of swaps and all until you are comfortable and knowledgable about the car you have right at the moment. If it has been in a few minor accidents, just double check the frame to see if everything is ok. But for $850 you cant go wrong!

There wasn't....from the factory. All EF8 SiR's were 5 speed. But with a mounting kit, you can utilize the DA6/8 Integra XSi/RSi automatic b16 trans. you could retain the automatic, and go w/ any b series motor. it's been done.
