C-SPEED Integra receives new Prototype bowel upgrade
After last weeks initial test runs at the track (13.44@105.5 on Falken Azenis), we've now joined forces with A&J Racing of Richmond, BC Canada (www.aj-racing.com 604.279.0329).
A&J is producing the new Type-ONE exhaust system that is a true 63mm ID (2.5") and features full stainless steel construction, which means ultra light weight and weather proof. The C-Speed Integra was fitting with the DC2 prototype Type-One cat-back yesterday and testing will begin shortly. We will have dyno plots of the new system vs other 60mm type exhausts and track results from the next Test N'Tune session at our local track.
Initial impressions are as follows:
. Fitment is 100% - Lines up with cat/straightpipe dead on. Hanger locations are exact. No rattling or misc sounds.
. (without silencer) Sound is very smooth and deep. Not raspy or high pitched. Idle is slightly above stock levels. Cruising and Part throttle is definately louder. (Keep in mind the integra is running a straight pipe and no interior/sound deadening, so the results may be schewed). WOT - personally it has the best exhaust note that i've heard - very positive, deep and packs a punch especially at VTEC.
Here are the inital photos of the prototype Type-One exhaust fitted to the C-Speed DC2:
Again, test results will be provided shortly including final production weight. For more information, please contact A&J Racing at 604-279-0329 M-Sat 11-8pm PST (www.aj-racing.com).

Jeff: He never claimed to have a real ITR. It is slightly ricey with the sitckers though. Other than that I love that car
The tip looks slightly large, but visually it still looks like I could NOT fit in a grapefruit, so that exhaust might just be worth a look

About the tip size..if anybody remembers what the 1st version of the Apex-i N1 exhaust looked like, the SIZE actually is quite reminiscent of it.
However, it does not exit in such a "steep/angled" (is that the right word?) uh.....angle as the Apex-i exhausts thus minimizing the crazy looking bend at the muffler can section.

Do you have the pictures of this exhaust that were posted here (?) a couple of weeks ago. I remember seeing some with the measurements being taken, does anyone have a copy of those? If the ID is 63mm, and you give me the OD I can look up the weight per foot of at least the tubing.
FYI, 2.50" OD 16g (.065") is 1.69 lbs/ft and 2.50" OD 18G (.049") is 1.28 lbs/ft. The typical Integra exhaust will have about 7.25' of tubing, not including the resonator and muffler. That equates to 12.3 pounds of 16g tubing versus 9.3 pounds og 18g tubing.

I know this is un-related to the topic, but just wanted to say i like the bus station @ Bellingham, Wa. It's clean and quiet!! Vancouver, B.C> hopefully future retirement home after school is finish!
C-SPEED DC2 & A-J RACING i'll give 2 thumbs up

UPDATE: You can now hear what the Type-ONE sounds like. I have a few MPG's that you can download illustrating what the exhaust note is under different driving conditions. Click here:

G3-TEG,
You say that this is a true 63mm (2-1/2") ID cat back system. What is the difference between this system and the system in this post (https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=66396) that shows the OD to be 63.5mm (2-1/2") and an ID of 54.55mm 2.148")?
