The material I used is called Pique Solid. I got it from Joanns Fabrics. It runs about 5 dollars a yrd.

old

new

Here is the "how-to":
First you need to get the insert out of the door. There are 16 plastic rivets on there. What I did was shaved the top off the rivets and pushed the insert through.
Second take off the old carpet. Clean up the plastic. Make sure the plastic is clean of all the carpet for the adhesive to take its full effect.
Third what I did was take a 1/4" tap and taped for the screws that I was going to use. (see photo)

Fourth I sprayed the adhesive on it. Any spray will do. Then apply the material of choice. Try to lay the material as flat as possible. Can be a pain to get all the wrinkles out.
Fifth Use 1/4" x 1/2" screws with washer to secure the inserts back to the door panel. Be sure not to go through the other side.
Re-install door panel and your done.

I think that is about it. any questions let me know.

Sparco sells material.

I still have red material left from red Sparco Torinos.

yea, but the competition material sells for over $100. I'm looking for a cheaper alternative

They sell the competition material, jacquard, and alcantara.

competition is the cheapest
