Car has been sitting for around 8 months. Last time it was driven it was clean.
Started up(roughly, missing, a mess)4 months ago in a mad dash to get to NOPI(didnt finish the car in time because of this, good thing I guess!), and has sat ever since. So, Im thinking the four month startup was fatal somehow.
Compression #s were 150 across the board(yesturday), 9:1 JE's in 85mm GE sleeved B20Vtec. For some reason the car wont start, so Im starting to think something is severly NOT RIGHT.
I wiped one side of the valve cover clean, the other side I didnt touch. So is THIS what blown headgaskets look like?
Any good recomendations for OEM replacement gaskets bored to 85mm? I was thinking GE...

Looks like a lovely coolant/oil mix to me... I would run a leakdown test first to see if you find anything special beyond the headgasket... I hate Cometic headgaskets, we went through 3 of them on Will's motor when it was just being broken in (so that was in the first 1000miles with no boost)... Even on the higher boost setups the overbored GE's seem to work best for us... Have Fun

well, the 4 month startup was on a Hondata basemap, and we found we were missing a sensor in the dist.(long story). We never drove with it like this, but idled for a bit. There has always been a leak in the front pass. corner of the head/block junction, but I figured it was the common LS/Vtec leak. Guess not
Heads coming off tomorrow, hope to go we find good pistons/cylinder walls.

Yes, thats what I thought too...I was thinking maybe its condensation? The motor only has 3-400 miles on it, so i guess technically it COULD be lube. But thats a lot of water in there, and there has always been a lil drip from the front pass. corner of the head gasket. I think its time for a HG anyway, besides Im itching to get into this motor, as I have yet to do so
