You're really just gonna have to play with it and see where you get the smoothest transition.

I've heard of many guys setting it a lot higher than the stock setting, but it's ultimately up to the feel - so just mess around with it like Reverend said.

Got mine set at 5200.
Thats after much trial and error, anything else too early, any higher seemed too late.
