EXPO4:non itr driver turn-out
Over the course of time i have spent on h-t, ive learned the most from those who are itr owners. I admire the bond all you guys have, and you do nothing but help each other out. I drive a 99 ek with nice mods, as some may know, some may like me, others may hate me
What i really want to know is.. are my kind welcome to drive at the expo? How many others without itr's drive? I would really like to put faces to the names that have intelligent things to say on the boards, and id also like to drive amongst you
I was reading on itrca.com that there are alot of slots open for registration, and really i want to contribute my money to the cause, as well as drive

I attended last year as a non-driver and it was great seeing everyone / everything and being part of the expo. I drive an LS and didn't have any track experience at the time, but now that i've done an event at LimeRock with the rspeed crew - I don't think I could come as a non driver
Personally I think it'd be great to allow a certain number of non-ITR drivers. Say maybe 10-15 non-ITR slots, help it fill up a lot quicker.
< Remembers when he didn't have an R last year but still wanted to drive

Granted it may help fill spots quicker, but then what would be the sense of calling it the Integra Type R Expo?

What's the sense if the ITR owners aren't paying?
If I were Trey......... I believe I would go ahead and announce a date that non-ITR owners would be able to register. I understand that many people aren't used to spending this much money for something several months away, but as it is, people see only 36 paid and they think "I've got plenty of time to get my money in". I think a little motivation would be good for everyone.

A lot of people just sent payment, or are paying in the next few weeks.
Trey isn't going to open the gates for non R drivers. Sponsors get spots if they have cars, and I'm 110% the event will fill up with R drivers.
Like a few have said.. It is the ITR expo. The only way non R owners are going to be driving is if they are instructors, sponsors, and the off chance that there are a few spots available at the LAST minute.
WTF? every year there are all these hints being dropped and pressure applied to add non ITR's. Last year was a HUGE success and we filled the event. So far this year we have moved locations and still have 3.5 months to go before the event. People start to pay soon.
Also, dont forget.
Some people have given a lot of time to Trey and staff who do not own ITRs. They would get the open spots first for their hard work and dedication.
If you want a spot, you should have been helping Trey a long time ago and not doing nothing and only applying pressure to get a spot. Some people have to do a ton of work to get this off the ground, all these suggestions to change the target audience are ... tiresome.

Ahh but would you fit comfortably?
****, that was the deciding factor when I got mine. I almost got an S2000. But I already had an LS and was already comfortable and used to it. The S2k was just too tight of a fit and nowhere near as much storage space. (Remember I used to be rather skinny back then so girth wasn't the sole issue.)
