Default Prelude shifter assembly?????

I was wondering if any one knew the difference between the 92-96 shifter assemblies and the 97-01 assemblies besides one is metal and the other is plastic. Is one suppose to be better than the other or what?

Are you asking because you need one for your H22 swap?

The assemblies are nothing alike besides the fact they're both from Preludes.

I think what 4bidden is saying - that they're completely different - is that you don't have a choice. If you know the year of your tranny, that's the one you have to use... there is no choice involved.

If you can use either one....I would use the 4th gen shifter assembly. That gives you the option of getting a Forbidden SS later on down the road.
