Default thought it was misfiring was wrong?!?!

Ok what i thought was a misfire was completely off. So after changing out my plugs, cap, rotor, wires, and fuel filter (basic tuneup) my car still in all gears except first. So i ran the engine and i pulled out each wire one at a time and sure enough all of them gave the right amount of spark. So now i'm confused. I will try and put this as best as possible. I can accellerate with all my power in first gear. I shift into second gear and if i stomp on the gas it will bog down. If i gradually accelerate it will go just fine. And it does this for all gears except first... Any ideas??

well i have decided it is not my spark....i have run multiple tanks of gas through about 2 with SEAFOAM (fuel line/injector cleaner) so i'm guessing it is not bad gas. sso the only thing i have left to do is check my air filter and check my exhaust. Would it be safe to run with the air filter off around the block to see if that is my problem? It is an aftermarket air intake...if that is not the problem what kind of cat should i get? what would an oem one run me???

Another thought: Carbon plugged EGR Ports (these can be cleaned), Honda has a TSB "Technical Service Bulletin" on this

Yeah i noticed i have had a ground wire that was snapped and i am pretty sure it has been that way for a year or more and has never given me any problems...i will replace it just to make sure but i doubt that is it?

sounds like either a bad ground or an o2 sensor
