ok.. i have a 01 accord.. and we had this big rain storm today.. while i was driving .. i hit a few puddles on my driver side , and then i started to hear this squealing noise coming the front... it sounds like the timing belt or somewhere around there. . anyone know what this mean.. maybe some water got under the car and got some of the equiment wet but im not sure. . im pretty new to this car and i only had it for a few months.. have anyone had this problem before or can help with some advise.. thanks

sounds like a drive belt ( like power steering or A/C not timing ) slipping when it got wet. Not too much of a big deal, but it might be getting close to replacing time.

 

if the noise continues, you might want to head in for a tune-up

probably water got on some parts happened to my 92, should only happen i nthe rain occassionally

 

Re-tension your alternator belt a little and you should be ok.

 

sounds like a wet belt to me.....

 

That sounds like a slippery belt.
