Default Should my brother waste his money on an "R"??

My brother is looking to but a new car and he wants either a gs-r or an R...the problem is he lives in Atlanta and every time i go onto honda tech, i always hear type r's are ALWAYS gettin jacked. My brother wants an R sooo bad he only considered the gs-r b/c hopefully with it only being a gs-r, people wont be so quick to jack it. He has a daily driver and the r will be garage kept to but are these cars REALLY hard to keep safe?

they will steal that car too if they wanted. if he has a garage. and puts a good security system on it, then he should be good to go.

I think owning between a GS-R or a Type R wont being any different when it comes to theft. Although, when you have a GS-R parked right next to a Type R sure they'll jack the Type R first.

everything....that car will be fully built and it will look bad ***....hopefully

Of course it will have fulll coverage and a very nice alarm but, it will be a waste of money if it gets stolen, but he has his heart set on an R...

that's why you get good insurance. and it's not wasting money on a car,

even if it's stolen.. it'll be more than worth the time you have it.

get the R, get the new low jack early notice, and get an alarm system/removable steering wheel/clutch lock/club/fuel cut off to slow them down while you pick the weapon of your choice

if he wants to learn to drive well and roadrace/auto-x then go for the R. if he just wants a car that's fast, then go for the gsr.

then i would say the gsr. he would be happier w/ a bolt on turbo and a body kit then spending the exta $$ on the R.

Either are very likely to get stolen. In Atlanta I dont hear too much about car theft (KNOCK ON BIG FUGGIN PIECE OF WOOD) but GSRs are just about a big a target as Hype Rs....

What kind of driving does he want to do? If mainly street driving, GSR is way more comfortable....if track/autox go ITR all da way.

I would get the R (given the garage & beater).

GPS Alarm, kill switches, auto-locks, and being paranoid are good ideas as well

I say get it, its just a nice ride. People want to jack G-SRs as much as they wanna jack type Rs. Just get a 00' or 01' with immobilizer and top of the line security system. Don't even worry about it, if its garaged them youll be safe. Just my opinion.

and of course hes gonna pimp that **** too Hell no he will pimp that **** out. Thats just a waste of money pimping out cars. The R is not made for putting neeto body kits on it. Just work the motor and leave the exterior plain.
