is it safe to have a 9200 rpm redline using stock rods considering the block has been fully balanced? thanks

Mine did just fine at 9500 on stock rods. Over a year before I had it rebuilt, and that was only because I had a hair up my ***...

You've got more than just a hair up there Jason. HAHA

But seriously about the redline though. I've had mine set to 9200 since mid 98 on a completely stock motor. No problems what so ever.

Just make sure you use some strong rod bolts like ARP's. I guess stock rods are okay as long as you don't stay at 9200RPM for long periods of time.

60k+ miles on fully balanced stock bottom end using stock rods and bolts.

9500-10000rpm daily

Those who keep saying "RPM = Ruins Peoples' Motors" are(or will be) LOSING.

The dynamics of downshifting and overrrevving and revving up to high rpm
is different.

Speaking from experience I am positive the stock rods can handle 9200Rpms. Just make sure your valvetrain is up to par.

Obviously you didnt read my last post.

When revving that high, it is important to keep the timing belt tension TIGHT.
This keeps the cam timing from changing when force direction changes from going
from engine->trans to trans->engine.
