Default JR header question (RSX-S)

sorry i tried searching but couldnt find what i was looking for.

anyways im thinking about getting the JR header and welding on the heatshields over the test pipe to make it look like the cat's still there....has anyone done this?

As long as your car isn't slammed there shouldn't be a problem. I had the heat shield welded over the straight pipe on my old car(Prelude) and it eventually loosened up and rattled over time, probably due to the fact that it kept scraping over speed bumps and steep driveways.
