Default TODA Clutch and Flywheel Impressions

The TODA clutch and flywheel were installed in the R yesterday and I am very impressed. My driving impressions are fairly limited to a short drive in the rain yesterday and about 40 miles this morning, so these are initial thoughts and more indepth reactions may come later.

General: The car feels like it is not working nearly as hard as it was in the past. Everything hums along with less effort and revs up and down the range are smooth and effortless.

The Clutch: Pedal feel is slightly stiffer than stock but nothing obscene at all. There is a very short engage/disengage path and the clutch 'feel' through the pedal is much improved over stock.

The Flywheel: Absolutely fantastic, why the Type R didn't come with a lighter flywheel I will never know. The car feels eager to jump and can give me revs (either up or down) exactly when I want them. Out of corners the car leaps up the rev range now rather than a slow march - I never realized how much waiting around I was doing with the old flywheel.

Rev matching is easy with the new flywheel and I feel much more connected to the car than I was previously. I attribute this to the fact that I now have more direct and instantaneous control over engine revs. The car just keeps asking for more rather than pausing at times like it used to seem to do.

nice Jonathan

i have the same set up, i like how the Toda Clutch feels as well. the pedal stiffness is SLIGHTLY stiffer than stock.. but how it engages/disengages is awsome.

almost stock pedal feel, but excellent grab

flywheel is sick
