Default I'm coming out...

...of storage.

We're hitting 50's by the end of the week, with sunny skies. Most road salt is washed away so far and I'll give a few more days to get more off the roads.

Snow begone!

I've read all of the 21 threads that came up regarding storage tips, so I think I'm ready to fire it up. Need to put the wheels back on, the battery in, drop it from the jackstands and let it warm up.

I miss Phoenix weather.

I've been out an about on and off for the last week or so... and let me tell you... WOW... I can't believe how much I miss the R... (BTW, 30's is "warm" here... atleast enough to make me want to take her out for a rip... )

I don't want to jinx it, but I'm hoping to see some low 40's soon...

being wet is one thing, being cold is one thing, but being cold and wet is not fun.

I don't understand though...why even store it if you're going to do it halfassed? There's still salt on the roads and the temperatures aren't going to be 50 by next week...back into the thirties...so why do it half assed?

Temperatures at night are still cold enough for it to snow too....this just confuses me...

Yep, especially the hurricanes and thunderstorms every day...the thunderstorms would get old after a while...it would be impossible to take your cleancar and park it for a while because it would get rained on.

it's not really halfassed it you drive the R once during it's "storage period." 1% of use for the whole winter hardly is considered half-assed.

That's your opinion...take it out and get it salty and it's half assed because you end up with the same result as you would if you left it out all winter....a salty undercarriage.

not nearly as salty as if it were out for winter the whole time. guaranteed the salt will rinse off much for easily than a whole winter's abuse of salt.
